Classic Nest Series

The Classic Nest is an automatic nest with a moveable floor. The moveable floor pushes out birds at night, which prevents broodiness and results in clean nest pads and clean, top quality eggs. With perforated egg belt running the length of the nests, eggs are transported away from the birds at the producer’s convenience. The welfare friendly design and materials used create an optimum environment for the hen to lay her eggs.

The Classic Nest was the first industry innovation that Vencomatic developed almost 20 years ago. In that time the technology developed for The Classic has become the industry standard. But Vencomatic was the first, and they are still the best.

The tip floor closeout in the nests assures cleans eggs, while minimizing broodiness in the birds. And the self cleaning nests pads also help to keep eggs extremely clean. The closeout moves on a rack and pinion mechanism that ensures smooth closure. These features make the entire line of Classic Nests ideal for both layer and breeder producers.

Because the nests have been designed with a hen’s preferences in mind, chickens prefer the nests as a laying spot. In turn, this minimizes the number of floor eggs, maximizing egg production, and decreasing labour needs. The egg belt collection also makes centralized collection possible, which can further reduce labour requirements.

Maintenance is simple on the nests. Access to vital components is easy, and the construction materials allow for easy clean-up in between flocks. And The Classic Nests can be used in standard sized barns, and can also be easily installed in non standard barns as well.
