Red-L System

RED-L stands for Resting, Eating, Drinking and Laying. This second-generation aviary system for layers, with a patented porch design, is accessible on all levels and allows a higher bird density, compared to normal floor housing. Integrated nests and the possibility to train the birds in the system ensures the number of floor eggs is reduced to an absolute minimum. The special design combined with the easy escape possibilities and availability of 100% floor space allows natural bird behaviour and provides good animal welfare.

The RED-L system is the Taj Mahal of aviary systems. The design is the optimum design for producers looking to meet and exceed the latest moves in animal welfare regulation.

Best suited to new construction, it can be adapted for existing buildings with ceilings over 20’ high. It’s particularly suited to extra long barns, because it is able to span huge areas and supply food, water and nesting the entire length.

The move to a nest with concern for fowl welfare is exemplified in the RED-L. With more natural bird behavior possible, thanks to the use of vertical and floor space, birds are able to roost and perch, improving leg health. And when properly trained to use the full amount of space, the birds do not leave floor eggs behind. The nests are used almost exclusively. Then with the tip floor design the nests move the eggs on to belts that maintain the safety and cleanliness of the eggs.
